Our mission is to encourage girls of all ages from birth to 100 and beyond to be themselves, to do what’s right, and to follow their bliss. And we do this by rockin’ the world with cool stuff for hot chicks. We’ll get into what this means in a moment. First, let’s talk about what this Web site is all about, really. Sure, we want to sell you stuff. But more than that, we want you to have a place where you can escape and just be your sassy, sparkly, always smiling self with no one else around. And because life is as it is, we want you to have a little safe harbor that you can always turn to when things get a little hairy, weary, scary, boring, or otherwise plain ol’ yucky.
Consider www.concertchick.com your official nest…a spot you can always go to for comfort in the form of words or some retail therapy. A respite, a time out, a recess from your busy day, doing all the things you have to do. This happy place is your own little sanctuary. It’s a resource for all things Concert Chick cool. As with everything and everyone, Concert Chick is a work in progress. So, check back often for new developments, announcements, tips, tricks, and swag. the hot chicks
We’ll start with the chicks because without the chicks, the stuff doesn’t matter. No amount of stuff will make someone an original Concert Chick™. Of course, we want you to love our stuff so much that you keep coming back for more, but please know that you’re number one even without the stuff!
The original Concert Chick is our icon, Rox, who you see posted all over this Web site. Rox’s life story can be found in the Meet & Greet section. But before you go there, let’s chat about the general concept of a Concert Chick.
A Concert Chick is “hot” because she is beautiful inside and out, fearless, compassionate, generous, smart, confident, brilliant, and life-loving. Now, that IS hot! Even Paris Hilton would agree. A Concert Chick is not just a girl who wants to have fun (though that is a very good thing to want). She is a chick who embraces who she truly is—an original masterpiece—and not just some cheep (yes, we intentionally spelled it this way in keeping with the chick theme) imitation of someone else.
A Concert Chick taking center stage in life is not only about getting all glamorous (though there’s nothing wrong with going glam!) and strutting her stuff (but surely, if you’ve got it, work it!). She’s not someone who needs the spotlight, making sure that all attention and eyes are focused her way. It’s not all about her! And it’s not all about her age, clothes (except for Concert Chick tees!), IQ, weight, home, car, shoes (though Concert Chicks LOVE shoes), height, hair, skin, or eye color. A Concert Chick knows that being her is pretty darn cool. And she’s right. Of course!
So, now we have Rox on a worldwide tour to share her story and to make sure that every girl on this planet, no matter how many years she has been alive, knows that she rocks…just as she is…right now! Concert Chick Productions, LLC is Rox’s vehicle to get this most important message out there.
the cool stuff
Okay, we’d be kidding ourselves if we said that we don’t like stuff, that we don’t want stuff. We do, we do! Concert Chicks just know that stuff only enhances their fabulous selves, and does not make them fabulous. Our cool stuff comes to you in the way of tee shirts and other products that have been created by us and other creative souls using every aspect of a concert production as a muse. Every item is designed and created with love, meaning, and intention and offered in one neat little “collection” package.
While every tee will be unique in its own way, there are two constants. Rox and mantras. You’re all familiar with the little pony and alligator shirts, right? Well, we have our very own Rox in some form on the upper left shoulder on the back of our tees and in surprise places on other apparel. We played off the “chip on your shoulder” (not such a good thing) and created the “chick on your shoulder” (a very good thing). Rox’s presence is like a guardian angel, perched to remind the girls of the world that they rock just as they are! A silent, subtle ♪ to self.
Further, each creation tells a story and spreads an important message through the powerful merger of music and mantras. The word “mantra” evokes an image of a turban wearing swami sitting cross-legged on a mountaintop chanting ohmmmmm. While this is a very beautiful thing (so much so that I would ask you to stop for a moment, close your eyes, visualize a mountain, and say “ohm” twice before you continue), this isn’t where we’re going. The word “mantra” is derived from two Sanskrit words “manas”, which means “mind”, with the last syllable meaning to “protect” or to be “free from”—together meaning “freeing the mind”, and for us, that means saying bye-bye to all that chatter that makes us crazy or otherwise causes us to get caught up in the small nonsense that just doesn’t matter in the big scheme of things. There’s enough going on around us that we can’t control. Our mind, in most cases, we can. Mantras enhance your energy level, promote relaxation, and just make you feel good. Mantras are typically spoken, but as usual, Concert Chicks aren’t typical, so we allow the written words on our music inspired designs to do the work. And they do. You just can’t help feeling all joyous and bubbly when you wear our garments. They’re like hugs from the universe! Rox has big plans for her fans! Our inaugural tee shirt will hatch in April, 2009. The incubation process has been quite an adventure! There will be a launch party on April 2nd at which time the tees will be available for purchase prior to the official release which is slated for April 12th which just so happens to be Easter Sunday, Rox’s official birthday. A Concert Chick tee would be the perfect something extra special to put in your and all your friends’ baskets along with all those Peeps and chocolate bunnies! Drop Rox a note if you want to be placed on the V.I.P. waiting list for the celebration tee. We promise it will be very bubbly and sparkly!
Future hatchings will also be exciting. Just as fans have a general idea about what’s going to happen at a concert, they really can’t be sure what will occur until the band enters the stage, until someone switches on the lights, and until the songs are sung. It’s the same with Concert Chick Productions, LLC. We’re all about the element of surprise and suspense. One never knows what we’ll do for an encore. All we can say at this point is that some awesome tees with exciting complements are already in the design phase. Our products have their own tour schedule, and absent any hiccups, you can look for a new collection to be released every season. The “egg timer” you see on every page lets you know when our next collection will hatch. Stay tuned…keep checking the egg!
